Airbags is not 100% Guarantee

Airbags compulsory for all vehicles from 2012
January 21, 2011

Research shows that most fatal accidents involved front passengers who did not use the safety belt and did not have an airbag.
Here we go again … ditching out research but no concrete action taken.

RANTAU PANJANG: All vehicles, except four-wheel drives, will be required to be fitted with airbags from next year, Transport Minister Kong Cho Ha said today.

He said the measure was to reduce risks of death in road accidents.
Air Bags are no guarantee in saving lives ….. minister.  If you are serious about saving lives, we need stringent laws and re-educate Malaysian to drive properly.

Like I mentioned earlier in my posting – I travel a lot on the NS highway. Here are some examples of how Malaysian drive:

Tailgating – until you can see their nostril hair
Speeding on a raining day
Weaving between lanes
Beating traffic lights
Overtaking at double lanes and dangerous corners.

AND NOT FORGETTING MY FAVOURITE
Parents with the kids (2 to 4 years old)  at the driver’s seat and speeding.  Do these parent have brain in their head.!!!   Sometime I wonder these parents are planning to propel their kids through the windscreen… something like a torpedo kid.

The government was particularly concerned with fatal accidents due to inadequate safety equipment, he told reporters here after launching the road safety campaign in conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year.
We are all concern. Most of the time these drivers make driving dangerous and at time scare the hell out of me. The governments should be serious about this and stop giving out discounts … this is a BIG joke.  This is the most stupidest think ever and the best part is those IDIOTS who have paid their summons earlier are gripping about missing out on the discounts.  What kind of  idiot are they.

So more DISCOUNT this year?

He cited research done by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety which found that most fatal accidents involved front passengers who did not use the safety belt and did not have an airbag.
Its frustrating when you ditch out information that we all know … makes us look like a bunch of idiots.

Are you trying to say that by using safety belts and equipped with air bags …. Its ok to drive like a mad barbarian?

Bet you my 10cents worth … it will not help if our drive attitude does not change. We need change … Mr Kong ….. not figures and statistic  … We need tough action on these drivers.

Please take a week off and spend time along the highways and trunk roads, you will know what I mean.

Kong said his ministry would ensure that vehicles manufactured in the country and the national car were equipped with safety airbags before the new regulation was enforced.

He said there would be no problem with imported vehicles as most of them came equipped with safety bags.

We have suicide KILLERS on the ROAD…STOP them NOW
