No Reporting Please

Dear Minister
We are tired of reporting ….. Please do not give us facts … we need action.

What are your plans in curbing these lunatic bus drivers?  Have you taken a trip in any of these buses?

I travel the North-South highway daily, most of the time at night.   Never a day passed by with me encountering these crazy bus drivers, traveling at 130km per hours on the fast lane … flashing their headlights.  They seem to be possessed by some speed demon… sometime I feel that these drives just can’t wait to deliver their passengers to god.

You say “The JPJ has also deployed 112 officers since Jan 7 to go undercover as passengers to nab bus drivers with dangerous driving habits”.  Where are they … if they are deployed in these buses then the crazy demons would not be speeding …RIGHT Mr. Minister.  Oppppps… I forgot working hours are from 8am to 4pm.

What have you got to say about the discounts on summons last year? Still planning BIGGER discounts end of these year.  So this is your way of curbing lunatic bus drivers and other crazy drivers on the road.  Sometime it makes one feel that these drivers are on a mission.  Like the suicide bombers we have suicide car and bus killers on our roads

It is not only the bus drivers that you should be concern about.  Trying listening to any of the ASTRO radio channels in case you forgot (Light FM) just listen to the traffic report … tanker overturns, trailer overturns, 3 to 4 car pile up… at least 6 road accidents (reported on radio) within a week.  Just imagine those not reported.

Dear Minister …… There needs to be a holistic approach to reduce the number of road accidents … a great loss of lives … pain and suffering. You are the Minister .. You are paid by us to do your work… an idiot like me will not be able to give you any ideas.

If nothing is done there is two good things that will come out of these …  “Guinness Book Of World Records” and help reduce the population.

I remember a time when Tun Ling introduced the Black Box and some stupid Orange Flickering Lights to be installed on buses and trucks … what happen to all these crab?  Looks like half-baked ideas and half-baked implementation.   If you want to do some think positive… take the bull my its horn.  Stop reporting … WE ARE TIRED

The festive holidays are around the corner … I hope you get your act in order …. Reduce these road accidents.

PETALING JAYA: A total of 94 tour buses have been identified in a variety of offences in the latest nationwide enforcement operations conducted by the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha said 415 tour buses had been inspected between Dec 31 and Jan 10.

Of these, 94 were found to have been involved in a total of 176 offences. “Two buses have been banned from operating because they had expired road tax (discs) and were uninsured,” said Kong in a statement yesterday. The JPJ has also deployed 112 officers since Jan 7 to go undercover as passengers to nab bus drivers with dangerous driving habits.

Bus passengers were also roped in to do their part by filling up complaint forms.

“The offences to look out for are using mobile phones while driving, smoking, overtaking on double lines and driving in the right lane for extended periods of time,” Kong said.

Meanwhile, the department has conducted inspections on express buses in 32 bus terminals nationwide with officers inspecting about 972 buses daily at major terminals.

Officers inspected brakes and tyres, as well as the buses’ logs, road tax status and permits besides drivers’ licences.

The National Anti-Drug Agency also helped administer urine tests on drivers.

Kong said 4,381 buses had been taken off the road last year after failing periodic inspections three times in a row.
